Yellow alert for heavy rain with thunder and lightning in many districts including Bageshwar, Almora-Nainital

The mood of the weather has changed in Uttarakhand. Due to the increase in monsoon activity again, clouds are hovering in most areas and the series of showers is also continuing. However, the sun is also shining amidst partial clouds in the plains. In the last two days, heavy rain has been occurring intermittently in most areas. According to the Meteorological Center, there are chances of partial clouds in some parts of the state even today. There may be periods of intense rain with thunder and lightning in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar, for which a yellow alert has been issued. After this, the sequence of rain is expected to remain slow for a few days. Monsoon may leave Uttarakhand around October 3.

The mercury reached below normal
Clouds were hovering in Doon on Friday morning and showers occurred at some places. However, after this, the sun and clouds kept playing hide and seek. Even after noon, there was light drizzle at some places. Apart from this, light rain was also recorded in the surrounding mountainous regions with the presence of clouds. With this, the mercury has also dropped below normal. The maximum temperature in most areas including Dehradun is 30 degrees Celsius or below. However, the minimum temperature remains above normal. Chill is being felt in the morning and evening in the mountainous regions. According to the Meteorological Department, the sequence of rain may slow down in the next few days. There is a possibility of light rain with partial cloud cover in most areas.
