Uttarakhand is ready for the 10th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo. This four-day event will be held from December 12 at the Parade Ground in Dehradun. More than three hundred representatives from 58 countries will participate in the Ayurveda Congress. Apart from this, 6500 representatives from all over the country have agreed to participate in it. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave this information after releasing the curtain raiser and program guide of this event at the Media Center located in the Secretariat on Monday. He said that this event is an effort to give a new identity to Uttarakhand in the field of Ayurveda. It will also prove helpful in taking the message of Sarve Santu Niramaya: to every home. He said that work is also going on in the state towards making the country’s first yoga policy.
The land of Uttarakhand has been the land of Ayurveda
Chief Minister Dhami said that the land of Uttarakhand has been the land of Ayurveda and wisdom since ancient times. Rishis and sages have done extensive research in this direction and have given us this method. The climate of the state is completely suitable for medicinal plants. The subject of Ayurveda is not only of the state but also of the Himalayas and forests. The government is working in this direction to make Uttarakhand a leader in every field. He said that the nectar coming out of the churning in the Ayurveda Congress will work to awaken the world in the field of Ayurveda, not only in India. He said that everyone has seen the impact of Ayurveda and AYUSH during the Corona period. He said that this event will become a unique platform for knowledge and cooperation. Not only this, stalls of eight departments of the state, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Health, Skill Development, Tourism, Industry, Horticulture and Rural Development will also be set up in the pavilion. These will help in promoting Uttarakhand as a major center of Ayurveda and wellness tourism in an integrated manner. He said that the World Ayurveda Congress will spread awareness about the benefits of Ayurveda and its integration with modern technology. It will also promote knowledge sharing, research, cooperation and business opportunities in the field of Ayurveda. Referring to the AYUSH policy, he said that through this, AYUSH manufacturing, wellness, education, agriculture sector are being accelerated. Construction of 50-bed AYUSH hospitals is underway in Tehri, Kotdwar and Tanakpur. 300 AYUSH-based Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have been established. More than 150 AYUSH hospitals have received NABH recognition. He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many historic decisions have been taken in the interest of the state. On this occasion, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Secretary Ravinath Raman, Trustee of World Ayurveda Congress Rajneesh Puranik also expressed their views.
