Suvendu Adhikari to File Nomination Today: Amit Shah to Join Roadshow in Bhabanipur, PM Modi May Campaign

West Bengal: Political activity has intensified ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections, with major parties working strategically to secure electoral support across communities.

Parties like Trinamool Congress (TMC), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Indian National Congress have adopted calculated approaches in ticket distribution. While TMC has focused on minority and women voters, the BJP is placing emphasis on upper-caste communities such as Brahmins, Rajputs, and Kayasthas.

Amid these developments, senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the nomination filing of party candidate Suvendu Adhikari from the Bhabanipur Assembly seat on Thursday.

Roadshow to Begin from Hazra Crossing

According to BJP leaders, Amit Shah will also participate in a roadshow alongside Suvendu Adhikari in Bhabanipur. The roadshow is expected to begin around noon from Hazra Crossing and will pass through key areas before concluding at the Survey Building, where Adhikari will file his nomination.

The convoy is expected to halt approximately 200 meters before the Survey Building. From there, Amit Shah will accompany Adhikari on foot to the office where nomination papers will be submitted. State BJP President Samik Bhattacharya is also expected to join the event.

Show of Strength in Mamata Banerjee’s Stronghold

The roadshow is being seen as a major political show of strength in the stronghold of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

PM Modi May Also Campaign

Party sources indicate that Narendra Modi may also campaign in Bhabanipur, highlighting the importance the BJP is placing on this constituency.

Notably, Amit Shah arrived in Kolkata late Wednesday night ahead of the event.
