Skills of five BJP ministers to be tested in Kedarnath, will create an atmosphere of victory in the by-election

The results of the by-elections of Badrinath and Mangalore assembly seats may not have been in BJP’s favour, but the by-election of Kedarnath seat is linked to its prestige. Keeping this in mind, the party has put its team on the front. Five ministers of the state government have been given the responsibility of one division each of Kedarnath assembly constituency. Obviously, their skills will also be tested in the by-election. Everyone will be watching how successful they are in this. If we look at the by-elections of Badrinath and Mangalore assembly seats, these were not with the BJP earlier as well, but its prestige was linked to Badrinath. Mangalore seat is such on which BJP has never got success. However, this time it was successful in giving a tough fight. If we look at the Badrinath seat, the party had pulled Congress MLA Rajendra Bhandari, who was representing there during the Lok Sabha elections, into its camp. BJP fielded Bhandari in the by-election, but due to many equations the party had to face defeat.

Learning from the by-election of Badrinath seat, the party has now entered the fray for the by-election of Kedarnath seat, although the schedule for the by-election has not been announced yet. This seat has fallen vacant due to the death of BJP MLA Shailarani Rawat.

In such a situation, the party faces the challenge of retaining it. This is the reason why BJP has deployed in-charge and co-in-charge, migrant workers for Kedarnath and has also deployed five ministers of the government.

BJP has given responsibility to one cabinet minister in each of the five mandals falling under the assembly constituency. Cabinet minister Saurabh Bahuguna has been given the responsibility of Guptkashi, Satpal Maharaj has been given the responsibility of Ukhimath, Rekha Arya has been given the responsibility of Agastyamuni, Subodh Uniyal has been given the responsibility of Agastyamuni Rural and Ganesh Joshi has been given the responsibility of Satera Khal mandal.

The ministers have been asked to hold regular meetings with the party members in their respective mandals and hold public darbars. The minister has also visited his area once. The party’s intention behind fielding the ministers is to create an atmosphere in its favour before the by-election. Along with this, public problems should also be resolved. Now it has to be seen how much the skills of the ministers are able to work. BJP State General Secretary Aditya Kothari said that the Kedarnath assembly seat belonged to the BJP and will remain with it. In view of the by-election of this seat, the party is preparing its strategy. Along with the party officials, the ministers have taken charge in the area. During this time, the works done for the Kedarnath area and the achievements are being placed before the public.
