Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that public participation is most important in the program ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ organized on the occasion of 75th anniversary of independence. For this, by spreading publicity on a wide level, people especially the youth have to be inspired. This is a program of the people. It was told that under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, from August 13 to August 15, a tricolor campaign would be conducted at every household across the country. The Chief Minister said that on the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 75th anniversary of the country’s independence is being celebrated as Amrit Mahotsav. This has created enthusiasm among the countrymen. The sense of duty towards the country has been strengthened among the youth.
Chief Minister Dhami said that our Gallantry Award winners should be included in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’. Tricolor is to be installed by the people themselves in 20 lakh houses in the state. Wide publicity should be given to ensure public participation at such a large level. Especially use of social media. All government websites and social media handles should be used. The Chief Minister made a detailed outline of the Tricolor campaign program in the state and preparations should be started immediately. All the departments should work together in this. Freedom fighters and their families, voluntary organizations, enlightened people should also be associated with the program. Kanwar Yatris should also be motivated for the tricolor.
Additional Chief Secretary Radha Ratuli, Secretary Culture Harichandra Semwal, Director Culture Veena Bhatt and other officers were present in the meeting.
