The Chief Minister said that vigilance should be taken at every level from the point of view of disaster management, in this regard he has also directed all the departments to work in coordination with each other.
JCB deployed at sensitive places with geo tagging
The Chief Minister said that JCBs deployed with geo-tagging should be kept ready at all times in case of disaster. Adequate availability of these should be ensured at the prone sites related to the disaster. So that the closed roads can be opened immediately.
SDRF teams deployed
The Chief Minister said that teams of SDRF and NDRF have been deployed. In the event of any disaster, rescue and relief operations should be conducted at least in response time. In the event of road, electricity, water supply being disrupted due to rain or landslide, the supply should be restored in the shortest possible time.
Chief Minister’s appeal to the people, do not go near the rivers
The Chief Minister has also appealed to the tourists and the general public not to go towards the rivers and rainy drains in view of the possibility of heavy rains.
Food godowns till August have been sent
In view of the possibility of excessive rainfall during the rainy season, 69 foodgrain godowns have been identified in the hilly districts of the state. In which there is a possibility of closure of the roadway. Advance food grains for 03 months (June-July, August, 2022) have been dispatched to all such 69 foodgrain godowns for the rainy season.
396 JCBs, Pokeland deployed on various routes
A total of 396 machines (JCB, Poklane, Robot etc.) have been deployed on various routes by the Public Works Department to open them in the event of closure of the roads operated during the monsoon period.
Continuous monitoring of water level of rivers by irrigation department
Irrigation Department has set up flood control room in every district and central flood control center in Dehradun. Irrigation Department is monitoring the water level and discharge of rivers at 23 places and barrages/dams at 14 places. 113 Revenue Flood Outposts have been established by the Irrigation Department in different districts.
Adequate arrangement for drinking water and electricity supply
Control room has been established by Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan. Keeping in view the damage related to divine calamity, 86.31 km of GI pipe and 110.62 km of HDPE will be constructed for immediate restoration of drinking water schemes. Pipes have been made available as buffer in total 196.93 km of pipe branches. In case of disaster, 71 departmental tankers are available for providing drinking water in various branches and 219 water tankers for rent have been identified.
Full arrangement has been made by Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited for uninterrupted power supply in 13 districts of the state. Electricity material is available in abundance at the store center established in every district and there is main store of Garhwal region in Rishikesh and main store of Kumaon region in Haldwani where all material has been delivered. The number of stores in both Garhwal and Kumaon divisions together is 17. In which the number of transformers is 796, the number of poles is 8650 or conductor of 3769 km is available including both Garhwal and Kumaon divisions. Apart from this, other essential items have also been made available.
medical and health
Full arrangements have been made by the Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, Uttarakhand for 24×7 medical treatment in 13 districts of the state. Doctors, paramedical staff, medicines are available in abundance in all the hospitals established in every district. 108 ambulances are stationed in every district. Along with this, nodal and co-nodal officers are posted in every district/headquarter.
Apart from SDRF, teams of NDRF are also deployed.
The 15th Corps, NDRF, has been established at Gadarpur in Udham Singh Nagar district, Uttarakhand state, to deal with the disaster. In view of the very sensitive and sensitive areas of Uttarakhand in view of monsoon 2022 by 15th Corps, NDRF, 06 teams have been sent to different districts (Almora, Pithoragarh, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag (Kedarnathji) and RRC Jhajhra (Dehradun). Deployed with all equipments.
In view of the disaster, instructions have been issued to the concerned Divisional Forest Officers to keep the satellite phones provided by SDRF in order to maintain the telecommunication system in the inaccessible places. During the rainy season, there is an increase in the incidents of uprooting of trees and many times the roads are blocked, as soon as the information of such incidents is received, immediate action is being taken by informing the concerned forest officers.
