Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the National Games to be held from 28 January to 14 February will also establish the identity of Devbhoomi as a sports land. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being invited to start the games. Talking to reporters at the National Sports Secretariat in Raipur on Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave information regarding the preparations for the National Games. The Chief Minister said that the state government is trying to make this event grand and divine. Also, special attention will be given to environmental protection at the venues. 10 thousand players are expected to come from different states of the country in these games. The responsibility of the officers is being fixed so that they do not face any problem in accommodation and food. Also, volunteers are being invited to make the event a success. He appealed to the people of the state to welcome these players by showing the spirit of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’. He said that efforts are being made to include the exhibition games suggested by the state in the medal games. The Indian Olympic Association is also being informed about this sentiment. The Chief Minister said that along with repairing all the roads in the proposed venues for the games, instructions have been given to the officials to develop other facilities as well. During this, Sports Minister Rekha Arya and Special Principal Secretary Sports Amit Sinha were also present. The logo and mascot will be unveiled on the 15th Chief Minister Dhami said that the logo, anthem, mascot, torch and jersey of the National Games will be unveiled on December 15.
