Heavy rain warning in Dehradun and Nainital today, IMD issued alert

Monsoon rain continues across the state. Many areas of Dehradun received torrential rain for two hours on Tuesday afternoon. 35.3 mm rainfall was recorded in Sahasradhara and 34.8 mm in Mussoorie. On Wednesday, apart from Dehradun, one or two rounds of heavy rain may occur in some places in Nainital, Champawat and Bageshwar districts. Yellow alert has been issued in these districts.
Rain in Mussoorie
It has been raining continuously in Mussoorie and adjoining areas since Tuesday afternoon. It has been raining intermittently in Roorkee since morning. There is relief from the humid heat.
Badrinath, Gangotri-Yamunotri Highway Update
Badrinath Highway in Chamoli is blocked due to debris in Nandprayag, Pagalnala, Kameda. The highway has become operational in Pagalnala. Gangotri National Highway is blocked at two places. While the Yamunotri National Highway was blocked near Dabarkot. Due to the rainfall on Tuesday night in Uttarkashi district, the Gangotri National Highway was blocked due to landslides near Gangori and Netala. The highway remained blocked for about 5 hours near Gangori. While the highway has not been made operational near Netala yet. The BRO team is engaged in making the highway operational. The Yamunotri National Highway was blocked late at night near Dabarkot. Which was made operational by the team of National Highway Barkot section at 8:00 am. The weather is currently clear in the district.
