Doon Police has arrested four miscreants who carried out robbery in Dalanwala area. The miscreants had involved the house servant with them. They had made the entire plan of robbery in Tihar. Police is conducting raids in search of three other miscreants of the gang who are absconding. Members of the gang have carried out major robbery and dacoity incidents in various states. During a press conference on Tuesday, Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh said that on May 24, Pranav Soin, resident of Chandralok Colony, Dalanwala, gave a complaint in Dalanwala police station that in his absence three unknown miscreants entered his house and tied the hands of his mother Sumiti Soin and maid Geeta and escaped after looting the cash and mobile phone kept in the locker.
Revealed in investigation
Dalanwala Kotwal Rakesh Gusain investigated the CCTV footage installed in and around the house, in which four suspects were seen. Investigation revealed that the persons seen in the footage live around Delhi Prashant Vihar area. Based on the information, a team was sent to Delhi under the supervision of SSI Pradeep Negi, outpost in-charge Hathibarkala Praveen Singh Pundir and SOG sub-inspector Lokendra Bahuguna. On the information of the informer, the police team arrested two accused Rajesh Kumar Bansal alias Madan resident of Shukra Bazar Vijay Vihar Phase-01 Rohini New Delhi and Rinku Kumar alias Harish resident of Sonia Vihar Khajuri New Delhi from Delhi along with two looted mobile phones and looted cash of Rs 1100.
Plan of robbery made in Tihar Jail during December 2023
During interrogation, accused Rajesh Kumar Bansal alias Madan told that while being lodged in Tihar Jail, he planned a robbery in Dehradun in December 2023 with Rinku, Prem and Mohit. After being released on bail, he met Sagar Som, a resident of Sardhana Meerut, who told him that he used to work at the construction site of Sumiti Soin, a woman resident of Chandralok Colony Dehradun. He has a lot of money and the woman lives alone at home with her son. He also told that while working at the construction site, the woman had tampered with the accounts and paid him less by Rs 2 lakh. That is why he wants to teach her a lesson. In such a situation, the robbery was planned in this house.
First tried to rob, then included the servant
The accused also included Sumiti Soin’s servant Sanjeev by luring him. They tried to rob in April, but they could not succeed. After this, on May 24, after making a plan, on getting the signal from the servant Sanjeev, they entered the house and tied the hands of Sumiti Soin and the maid and carried out the robbery at gunpoint. According to SSP Ajay Singh, after the arrest and interrogation of Rajesh Bansal and Rinku, the involvement of a total of seven miscreants was found in the incident. It was also found in the investigation that a person named Mohit Gangwar had provided SIM cards to the accused. On which Mohit Kumar Gangwar resident of Raja Road Selaqui was arrested from his flat in Selaqui. Rinku and Rajesh’s pistols were also recovered from his possession. Apart from this, Sumiti’s servant Sanjeev Kumar resident of village Gopalpur police station Kotwali Bijnor UP was nabbed from Dehradun. In the case, raids are being conducted to arrest Sagar Som resident Sardhana, Meerut UP as well as Prem Thapa and his friend.
Cases are registered against the miscreants under sections of murder, robbery, dacoity
Accused Rajesh alias Madan had shot dead a person named Sheeshpal during the year 2004. In this case, a murder case is registered against him in police station Samaypur Badli Delhi. After this, in the year 2010, the miscreant along with his accomplices kidnapped and killed a person in police station Prashant Vihar area. In the year 2022, in police station Janakpuri, Delhi area, along with his accomplices, he carried out a robbery incident with a contractor. In the year 2018, he tried to loot a cash van in Patel Nagar police station in Delhi, while in the year 2019, he looted Rs 1.5 crore from a cash van along with his accomplices in Dwarka police station area in Delhi.
Apart from this, a case of fraud has been registered against Mohit Gangwar and a case of robbery has been registered against Rinku in Shalimar Bagh police station. Rinku along with his accomplices had looted nine kg gold from Mannapuram Gold.
