Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri will increase the carrying capacity, Chief Minister Dhami gave instructions

In view of the crowd of devotees thronging the Chardham Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri during the Yatra period, emphasis is being laid on increasing the carrying capacity of the Dhams. In this sequence, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in a high-level meeting held at his residence on Friday, directed that efforts should be made to increase their carrying capacity in view of the development of infrastructure facilities in the Chardham. Also asked to make preparations from now for the Chardham Yatra to be held next year. He also directed to complete all the processes for the formation of the Yatra Authority for the management and operation of other religious pilgrimages and fairs including Chardham by January 30. He also said that suggestions should also be taken from the pilgrimage priests and stakeholders in this regard by January 15. The Chief Minister said that the Chardham Yatra is related to the honor and respect of the state.

It is better to take suggestions from stakeholders for travel management

Along with every kind of facility for the passengers, preparations should be made from now on keeping in mind all aspects including carrying capacity and various arrangements on the travel routes. It would be better to take suggestions from stakeholders for travel management. For a well-organized Chardham Yatra, along with better use of digital technology, the travel registration system should be strong. For this, a complete action plan will have to be made and work will have to be done from now.

He also asked to pay attention to issues like parking, hotels, drinking water, cleanliness at the places where vehicles stop on the travel routes. The Chief Minister also discussed with the officials about the Travel Authority (Uttarakhand Dharmsw and Tirthatan Parishad). He also directed that all the processes of formation of the authority should be completed by January 30 by taking suggestions from the stakeholders, so that it can be given shape. The Authority will take steps for the management and well-organized operation of the Yatras and fairs coming under it throughout the year.
