On Wednesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed Shiva devotees at the Ganga Ghat near Damkothi in Haridwar. He welcomed the devotees of Shiva who came to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand in Kanwar Yatra by washing their feet and giving Ganga Jali. He said that the blessings of Mother Ganga be with everyone. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also planted a tree at Damkothi.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the part of Lord Shiva is visible in the devotees of Shiva who come to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. He said that for the first time a separate budget was arranged by the government for the Kanwar Yatra. All Kanwar devotees will perform Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva by taking Ganga water. Efforts have been made by the state government to provide all possible facilities to the devotees so that there is no problem in the state. The Chief Minister also appreciated the work of social institutions, voluntary organizations, government and district administration for the smooth management of Kanwar Mela.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this year record devotees are coming to Chardham and Kanwar in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. So far more than 27 lakh registered devotees have come for Chardham Darshan. Today more than 28 lakh Kanwar Yatris are in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that a WhatsApp group has also been formed at a high level to ensure that the devotees do not face any problem during the Kanwar Yatra. are connected.

On this occasion MLA Adesh Chauhan, Pradeep Batra, former MLA Sanjay Gupta, Garhwal Commissioner Sushil Kumar, DIG Garhwal K. s. Naganyal, District Magistrate Haridwar Vinay Shankar Pandey, SSP Dr. Yogendra Singh Rawat, Chief Development Officer Prateek Jain and Shiv Bhakt were present.
