The program was started by lighting the lamp. In the program, women from far flung areas working in the fields of horticulture and agriculture also shared their experiences. The Horticulture Minister honored the women doing excellent work in different fields by giving mementoes and certificates.
While addressing the program, the Horticulture Minister expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that under his able leadership, efforts are being made to promote horticulture in India as well as in the state of Uttarakhand as well as ensure the participation of women. . The Horticulture Minister also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and said that under the guidance of the Chief Minister, while undertaking the overall development of horticulture/agriculture in the state of Uttarakhand, along with conducting important programs for qualitative increase in the income of the cultivators, implementation of various schemes. For this, full cooperation is being provided by increasing the subsidy.
Minister Ganesh Joshi said that this program will be organized every year. He announced that from next year onwards, award money would be given to women doing excellent work in horticulture and entrepreneurial field. In which first prize 51 thousand, second 21 thousand and third 31 thousand and top ten will be rewarded by giving cash amount of Rs. Minister Joshi said that from the center to the state government is making continuous efforts towards empowering women and when the state enters 25 years, we should be a leader in every field as well as doubling the livelihood of farmers and women in this direction. Expressing happiness, Minister Joshi said that it is a matter of great pleasure that this year for the first time mango fruits have been exported from Uttarakhand through APEDA. Along with this, honey was also exported, which is a sign of stepping towards a brighter future. Continuous efforts are being made by APEDA to promote the export of horticultural products produced in the state, which will prove to be a commendable initiative for the development of the state. . To increase the production and productivity of horticultural crops in the state, approval is being given to various ambitious schemes by the Government of India and the State Government.
Minister Joshi said that 80 percent subsidy is being provided to the farmers in the production of very intensive apple. Along with this, other activities like establishment of hi-tech nursery, fruit, vegetable, spice, flower, mushroom, area expansion, post-harvest management, marketing and processing activities are being conducted on 35 to 55 percent grant. During this, Minister Joshi expressed his gratitude to all the farmers and said that encouraged by this program, other farmers would also extend their cooperation in strengthening the economy of the state by adopting horticulture as a livelihood.
