From February 26, Section 144 will be in force within a radius of 300 meters around the Assembly premises. Five or more people will not gather at any public place in the area. Speeches inciting communal sentiments, sloganeering and use of loudspeakers will be prohibited. The District Magistrate has issued orders in this regard regarding the Assembly session. District Magistrate Sonika told that the assembly session is going to start from 26th February. Said that apart from demonstrations by various organisations, communities, various activities are likely to affect peace and order. There will be a ban on any person collecting lathi, hockey stick, sword or any other sharp edged weapon, brick, stone etc within the assembly constituency.
However, the ban on weapons or sticks will not apply to government servants on duty and disabled persons taking the help of sticks. There will be a ban on procession of buses, tractor trolleys, four-wheelers and two-wheelers. Firecrackers and any item made of gunpowder will not be used on roads, streets and intersections. Unilateral orders have been passed in public interest for peace and harmony in the district. This order will continue till the end of the assembly session. Action will be taken if the order is violated.
