There is a preparation to take application fee and bank guarantee from listed private hospitals for treatment of card holders in Ayushman Yojana. In this, an application fee of Rs 10 thousand and a bank guarantee of two lakh rupees will have to be given. For this, the State Health Authority has sent a proposal to the government. Currently, 300 hospitals are listed in Ayushman Yojana. Card holders get free treatment facility in these. The state government pays the expenses incurred on treatment to the hospitals. Ayushman Yojana was started in the state in 2018-19. In this, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Arogya Yojana of the Central Government and Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana of the State Government are operated. Apart from this, employees have the facility of cashless treatment on Golden Card under the State Health Scheme.
Till now, neither application fee nor bank guarantee was taken from the listed hospitals for treatment of card holders in these schemes. Whereas, in many states there is a system of taking application fee and bank guarantee from hospitals. On the same lines, the State Health Authority has sent a proposal to the government to take 10 thousand application fee and two lakh rupees bank guarantee from the listed hospitals.
199 private hospitals listed in Ayushman
Currently 300 hospitals are listed under the Ayushman scheme. This includes 101 government and 199 private hospitals. Ayushman card holders have the facility of free treatment in the hospitals listed in the scheme. The state government pays the expenses incurred on treatment to the hospitals.
Claims worth 180 crores rejected so far
To prevent fraud in claim bills in listed hospitals, the State Health Authority conducts a thorough investigation of the bills. So far, 88,629 claims of hospitals have been rejected, the total amount of which is 180 crores. Apart from this, 176 crores were deducted when irregularities were found in the bills. Currently, no fee is charged for listing hospitals in the Ayushman scheme.
