G20 Summit: CM Dhami reviewed the preparations for the proposed G-20 meeting in Uttarakhand, gave these instructions

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took a meeting on preparations for the G-20 Summit at the Secretariat. During this, the CM told the officials that all necessary arrangements should be expedited for the proposed G-20 meetings in Uttarakhand from May 25 to 28 and June 26 to 28, 2023. The concerned departmental secretaries should regularly review the responsibility assigned to the department for the G-20 meetings to be held in Uttarakhand. Apart from this, the Chief Minister himself will review every 15 days regarding the preparations for the G-20 meetings to be held in Uttarakhand. During this, the Chief Minister also said that Uttarakhand will get a new identity on the global stage through this event. Representatives of G-20 countries will also participate in Ganga Aarti in Rishikesh. With this, the participants of the conference will also be able to get acquainted with the religious and cultural importance of Maa Ganga.

Both G-20 meetings will be held in May and June:
Further, the Chief Minister said that the representatives of the G-20 and invited countries would participate in both the G-20 meetings to be held in Uttarakhand in May and June. Whatever presentation has to be given in front of them, complete preparations should be done on time. He said that this is a good opportunity for us to give recognition to the local products of Uttarakhand at the national and international level. It should be ensured that the uniqueness of the products that we can get global recognition on a large scale is identified.

Two G-20 meetings will be held in Uttarakhand:
At the same time, the Chief Minister also said that in the two G-20 meetings to be held in Uttarakhand, efforts will be made that one meeting should be held in Garhwal division and one in Kumaon division. He said that education department, higher education department, information department and police should run a massive public awareness campaign for public awareness regarding the G-20 to be held in Uttarakhand. People should also be made aware about this through multipurpose camps in the districts.

Stalls will be set up based on local products:
During the meeting, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed the officials that stalls based on local products of Uttarakhand should be set up at the venue of the G-20 meetings. Cultural programs should be organized to promote the rich cultural heritage of Uttarakhand. Arrangements for Yoga and Panchakarma should be made at the venue. He said that Uttarakhand is the land of Yoga, the work being done to promote Yoga and Ayurveda should also be presented in the summit. He said that representatives from many countries would come to the G-20 meetings, for this the services of experts in foreign languages should also be taken. He said that suggestions of political and social organizations would also be taken for better organization of the G-20 meeting to be held in the state.
