CM Dhami met the governor, the governor said – the safety of the people is most important, they should not face any problem

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Governor Gurmeet Singh at Raj Bhavan. During this, the Governor took information from the Chief Minister on the situation of landslide in Joshimath of Chamoli district. Chief Minister Dhami gave detailed information about the relief and rescue operations being carried out in the landslide area in Joshimath and the steps taken for the safety of the citizens. He also informed about the steps taken for the protection and rehabilitation of the affected and the progress of the immediate and long-term action plan to solve the problem.
The Governor said that the safety of the people living in the landslide area is the most important thing to be kept in mind. Along with this, proper management of temporary rehabilitation of the affected should be ensured. The affected people should not face any problem in case of cold and bad weather. Expressing satisfaction over the quick steps taken by the State Government so far, the Governor appreciated all those involved in this work.
Earlier, the Governor also met the Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu and gave necessary guidelines after getting detailed information about the relief and rescue operations being carried out in the landslide area in Joshimath and the steps taken for the safety of the citizens. He said that coordination of all agencies related to relief and rescue should be ensured. Safety of citizens is paramount. During this, the Governor also held talks with the Chief Secretary on various other contemporary issues.
