This time in the Lok Sabha elections, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party will field maximum star campaigners in Haridwar and Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar Lok Sabha seats which have field influence. The party has made this strategy after the performance in the 2022 assembly elections declined compared to 2017. There are preparations to bring everyone from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on both the seats. There are a total of 14 assembly seats in Haridwar Lok Sabha seat, out of which in the 2017 assembly elections, BJP had 11 and Congress had three. In the 2022 general elections, BJP was left with six seats in the Lok Sabha. Congress had captured five seats. Two were won by BSP and one independent candidate. Similarly, Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar has a total of 14 assembly seats in the Lok Sabha.
Of these, in the 2017 assembly elections, BJP had 11, Congress had two and one independent MLA, but in the 2022 assembly elections, out of 14 seats under this Lok Sabha, BJP was left with eight and Congress had more than two MLAs. It was six. Therefore, Bharatiya Janata Party has prepared a special plan for these two districts in the Lok Sabha elections.
Party will release schedule soon
BJP national president JP Nadda will hold a road show in the first week of April to campaign among workers in Haridwar. After this, preparations are being made to bring Home Minister Amit Shah in Bhagwanpur and UP CM Yogi Adityanath in Roorkee as star campaigners. At the same time, in Udham Singh Nagar district, the party has started preparations to bring Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Rudrapur, Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh.
