Amid mounting pressure, Pradhan quits

The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has finally resigned and submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The announcement came amid the ongoing students’ protests against the NEET paper leak issue and his alleged failure in this matter.

Pradhan said in a statement that he stepped down to help maintain national unity, prevent the situation from being exploited, and allow students to focus on their academic futures without ongoing distractions or legal complexities.

The resignation was expected following the meeting between two Union Ministers and leaders of the students’ movement held in Delhi on Friday.
