Agriculture Minister Joshi and Surveyor General of the Bay Beach, Mussoorie and Dehradun, talks were held on the opening of survey sports grounds for the players.

The Surveyor General of India, Sunil Kumar, today presented a courtesy call on the Agriculture and Rural Development and Military Welfare Minister of the state, Ganesh Joshi.
The Agriculture Minister said that unprecedented schemes like “Khelo India” and “Fit India” are being promoted by the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is a strange irony that the sports ground built in the Estate of Survey of India at Mussoorie was earlier used by the local sports associations and local sports talents of Mussoorie. But this ground has been closed since last time. During the Mussoorie stay, this matter was brought to my notice several times by the local people and sports associations and requests have been made to reopen this ground for the use of local sports talents and local sports associations.
Similarly, Survey Stadium in Dehradun has also been barred for local sports talent. Today, the playing fields and open spaces in cities are shrinking. In such a situation, it is very necessary to make these grounds available again as before for the sports talents of the capital. So that local sports talent and other players can get benefit of it.
Nitin Joshi from the office of the Surveyor General was also present on this occasion.
