The Maha Kumbh of Sports starts in Uttarakhand from today, 3674 medals at stake in 45 competitions of 33 sports

The 38th National Games will formally start in Uttarakhand from today (Tuesday). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this Maha Kumbh of Games. On this occasion, along with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of State for Sports Raksha Khadse and President of Indian Olympic Association PT Usha will be present. Chief Ministers of various states and many distinguished guests of the country have also been invited for the opening ceremony. A total of 45 events related to 35 sports are being organized in the National Games. These include two exhibition games. In the sports events, 9720 players will compete among themselves for 3674 medals at stake. The National Games will be inaugurated at the Silver Jubilee Sports Complex of Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at 6 pm on Tuesday. PM Modi will reach Dehradun at 3:30 PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Dehradun at 3:30 PM to attend this program. He will see the presentation of various projects of Uttarakhand from 4 to 6 PM. He will inaugurate the National Games at 6 PM. To make this program grand, singers Jubin Nautiyal, Pawandeep Rajan and Pandavaz Group will give their performances. Apart from this, more than four thousand artists will also add color to the ceremony through their performances. Green crackers will be used in the ceremony.

The event is being organized in 10 cities

The National Games are being organized in 10 cities. These include border Pithoragarh to the capital Dehradun. 3674 medals will be at stake in 45 events of these games. These include 1120 gold, 1120 silver and 1434 bronze medals. The maximum 198 medals will be in various events of athletics. By the way, the matches of triathlon and beach handball event of the National Games have started. Uttarakhand is fielding a team of about 750 participants in these games. Being the host state, Uttarakhand will get the opportunity to participate in all the games. In such a situation, Uttarakhand is expecting a better performance in these games. Uttarakhand Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that Uttarakhand is fully prepared for the National Games.
