The doors of Bhu-Baikunth Badrinath temple were opened for the devotees on Sunday at 6 am with Vedic chanting. With the proclamation of Jai Badrinath…, about 15 thousand pilgrims visited the Akhand Jyoti of Badrinath as well as Lord Badrivishal. With the opening of the doors of Badrinath Dham, the Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand has also started formally. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who reached the Dham, after visiting Lord Badrivishal, performed the first Mahabhishek Puja in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the country and the state. Along with this, the worships of Lakshmi temple, Ganesh temple and the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya located in the Badrinath temple complex have also started. On Sunday at four in the morning, the officers and employees of BKTC (Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee) reached the temple parikrama site. After this, at 4:30, Kuber’s Utsav Doli was brought into the temple pavilion from the south gate and Lakshmi’s idol was installed in her temple. After the Badrinath gate worship at 5:30 in the morning, the doors of the Badrinath temple were opened at 6 am in Ravi Pushya Yoga. The students and teachers of Ved Vedang Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya Jyotirmath lined up at the Badrinath Singhdwar and recited Vishnu Sahasranama. By 10 am, the devotees had Nirvana (without makeup) darshan of Lord Badrinath. After this, daily worships started with the first Mahabhishek Puja of Badrinath. During the opening of the doors of the Badrinath temple, flowers were showered on the devotees from a helicopter. On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt, Jyotishpeeth’s Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, Badrinath MLA Lakhpat Butola, Tejveer Kanderi, MLA Kishore Upadhyay, Dharmadhikari Radhakrishna Thapliyal etc. were present. Badrinath temple has been decorated with 40 quintals of marigold flowers for the inauguration of the Kapato. The work of flower decoration continued on the top part of the Singhdwar of the temple till late evening.
CM took feedback of arrangements from devotees
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami greeted the devotees at the temple premises and Aastha Path. He also took feedback of travel arrangements from the devotees. The Chief Minister said that efforts have been made at every level by the state government for a safe Chardham Yatra and facilities for the devotees. He called upon all the devotees coming to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand to give full cooperation to the state for a green and clean Chardham Yatra. The CM also took information about the works of the master plan from District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari. Along with this, while taking information about the preparations for the Hemkund Sahib Yatra, he gave instructions to arrange the passenger facilities soon.
