The closing ceremony of the 38th National Games has started at the IGI Sports Complex in Haldwani. Home Minister Amit Shah arrived at the event and accepted the greetings of the people by waving. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami was also present with him. During this, tremendous enthusiasm was seen in the stadium. The CM presented mascot Mauli to Amit Shah. A beautiful confluence of folk culture, tradition, rituals and songs and music of the mountain is being seen in the venue packed with spectators. Along with the great enthusiasm among the people, there is also sadness about the conclusion of the Maha Kumbh of the Games which lasted for 19 days. But people are celebrating the moment of the end of this festival of sports as a festival.
Started with the salutation and chanting of Maa Nanda-Sunand
On this occasion, cultural programs started with the salutation and chanting of Maa Nanda-Sunand. Folk singer Rakesh Paneru sang a melodious song Jai Ho Nanda Devi…. Khushi Digari presented songs like Main Ghas Katun Lo…, Almora Angrez Aayo… etc. Chandra Prakash gave a beautiful performance of the song Main Ja Choon Kamala…. Govind Digari sang Laska Kamar… Jhoda-Chanchari, Govindi Dhundhru Bajade Chamchhama. Dancer Shweta Mahara performed a beautiful dance on the song Chaita Ki Chaitwal, Paar Bheeden Ki Chhori, Cream Paudra…. The audience danced a lot during her performance.
Positive environment for sports created in the country after PM Modi’s arrival – Shah
Chief guest of the closing ceremony, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that a positive environment for sports was created in the country after the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India’s reputation has increased on the world sports platform today through sports infrastructure, coaching arrangements, encouragement to players and transparent selection in many districts across the country. New national records have been created by the players in the National Games held in Uttarakhand. These records have raised hopes of medals for India in international sports in future as well. Now this torch of National Games will be lit in Meghalaya. It is a matter of pride that India is ready to host the Olympics in 2036. The 38th National Games were inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 28 January in Dehradun. 10 thousand players participated in 35 events at 11 places in the state. In a ceremony organized at IGI Sports Stadium Gaulapar on Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah honored Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) by giving Raja Bhalindra Singh Trophy, Maharashtra by giving First Runner-up Trophy and Haryana, which came third, by giving Second Runner-up Trophy. He congratulated the players and said that every state of India is fully prepared to play and strengthen the sports infrastructure. After Uttarakhand, the National Games are being organized in another hill state. He also praised the organizing committee and sports organizations of Uttarakhand and said that Uttarakhand is being praised all over the country for organizing the National Games. Regarding the National Games, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has decided that by organizing games in all the states of the North East, the entire North East will be taken forward in the field of sports. Encouraging the players, the Union Home Minister said that success is not achieved only by physical ability but also by determination and strong mind. Tireless hard work and constant efforts will take the players forward. Through all these, the players can travel to the medal. The Prime Minister took several steps to take the youth of the country forward in the field of sports. Today every player considers the PM as a sports friend. He said that in 2014 the sports budget was 800 crores, which has now been increased to 3800 crores in 2025-26. Our players have also increased the value of the tricolor in international forums. The medals of the players show that there has been an increase in sports infrastructure and hunger to win in the country.
Modi’s message to enemies, never mess with India’s border and army
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given a message to former Union Minister late. Paying tribute to Sushma Swaraj and the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Pulwama, he said that the sacrifice of the soldiers of Pulwama has made the country safe. After the sacrifice of the soldiers, India gave a befitting reply by carrying out air strikes on Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. CM Dhami, who reached the Gaulapar Stadium, said that Uttarakhand proved its capabilities by organizing all the competitions related to the National Games within the state on the basis of strong infrastructure.
