Rakshabandhan ceremony organized at Chief Sevak Sadan, women tied Raksha Sutra to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami

In the Rakshabandhan ceremony organized at the Chief Minister’s residence, women from different areas of the state tied the thread of protection to the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami (CM Pushkar Singh Dhami).
Extending Raksha Bandhan greetings to the women present on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Raksha Bandhan is a festival of the sacred bond between brothers and sisters. Raksha Bandhan is also a festival of respect for women. He said that this festival is also a festival of mythological and cultural importance.

Women power moving towards becoming self-reliant
The Chief Minister said that today our women power is moving fast in the direction of self-reliance through their actions and self-confidence. Commendable work is being done by women self-help groups in the state. To make women financially empowered, women self-help groups are being given interest-free loans up to Rs 5 lakh.

Women’s Empowerment Bahna Utsav scheme started in the state
Mahila Sashakt Bahna Utsav Yojana has been started in the state. Today the representation of our mother power has increased in every field. 30 percent horizontal reservation is being given for women in the state. Mother power has an important role in the development of Uttarakhand.

Many works being done in the direction of women empowerment under the leadership of PM
The Chief Minister said that many works are being done in the direction of women empowerment under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under his leadership, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign was launched in the country. The Prime Minister appealed to all the devotees of the country to spend 05 percent of their religious travel expenses on products made by local and women self-help groups. This will give a boost to our local products.

More than four crore houses built under housing scheme
He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, more than 04 crore houses were built for the poor in the country in the last 09 years. Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban, the people who got accommodation in the state were given an amount of Rs.
Those who will get houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, will now be given an amount of Rs 07-07 thousand by the state government to buy utensils and other materials.

Women of Muslim community tied rakhi to CM
Earlier, women from the Muslim community tied a rakhi on the chief minister’s wrist at the chief minister’s camp office. Wishing everyone a happy Raksha Bandhan, the Chief Minister wished everyone a happy life.
