New system for lab reporting will be implemented in Doon Medical College Hospital, patients will get reports only on WhatsApp and e-mail.

A new system for lab reporting is being implemented in Doon Medical College Hospital. Principal Dr. Ashutosh Sayana instructed the officials to make arrangements to provide reports to the patients through WhatsApp, e-mail and QR code. For this, a link should be established at the hospital level.

Principal Sayana held a meeting with the heads of departments regarding hospital arrangements.
Last Monday, the Principal held a meeting of department heads regarding dengue management and other arrangements of the hospital. He informed that a lab reporting room will be made in the Covid container installed in the parking area in the new OPD building. A tin shed is also being constructed near the Covid container for patients and attendants.
He instructed that the nodal officer/head of the department will have to establish coordination among his departments himself. During this, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Dhananjay Doval and all the department heads, officers and employees were present.

Reconstitution of dengue audit team
The Principal has reorganized the dengue audit team and named Dr. Nutan Singh, Head of the Department of Pediatrics, as its chairman. Dr. Abhishek Gupta from General Medicine, Dr. Atul Kumar from Anesthesia, Dr. Pradeep Sharma from General Surgery, Dr. Neeraj Saraswat from Forensic Medicine and Dr. Mukesh Upadhyay from the Emergency Department have been included in the team.

Strictness on duty roster
The Principal directed that all the department heads should prepare the duty roster of their departments regularly and make its copy available to them and the Medical Superintendent’s office. Paste a copy of this on the notice boards of your OPD, IPD and ICU.

Work progress report will have to be given every day
The Principal directed that the Associate Professor posted as Day Officer should provide his daily progress report to him and the Medical Superintendent. Said that emergency and night shift duties of senior nursing officers should be assigned as per the roster. She will report her daily work progress to the Assistant Nursing Superintendent and Medical Superintendent.
