According to police reports, the युवक had assaulted a young woman and snatched her mobile phone before running away. However, within a short span of time, he was found dead with a gunshot wound in an open field near the gas plant area in Bahadrabad. Preliminary investigation suggests that the युवक shot himself using an illegal pistol.
The victim, a young woman originally from Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh, is currently residing in the Jamalpur area at Ram Vatika and working in a factory. She approached the gas plant police outpost and informed authorities that a युवक named Sujeet Verma, who belongs to her native village, confronted her near Jamalpur Chowk.
As per her complaint, the accused started arguing with her, physically assaulted her, snatched her mobile phone, and threatened to kill her before fleeing the scene. Acting promptly on the complaint, the police began tracking the accused using his mobile phone location.
The पुलिस team traced the युवक’s location to an area near the Indian Bottling Plant in Bahadrabad. Upon reaching the spot, officers discovered his body lying in an empty field behind a boundary wall. Initial findings indicate that he shot himself in the temple with a pistol he was carrying.
Police recovered the illegal firearm from the scene and have sent the body for postmortem examination. The sudden turn of events has raised several questions, and authorities are now investigating all aspects of the case.
Senior Superintendent of Police Navneet Singh Bhullar stated that the case is being thoroughly investigated. Officials are examining the connection between the assault, the threats issued by the युवक, and his subsequent suicide. Additionally, efforts are underway to determine how he acquired the illegal weapon.
Initial inquiries suggest that the extreme step may have been driven by an obsession stemming from one-sided love. However, the police have emphasized that all angles, including personal disputes and possible criminal links, are being carefully probed.
The incident has highlighted concerns over rising cases of violent behavior linked to emotional distress and illegal possession of firearms. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
