The weather may remain changed for the next few days. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert regarding hailstorm and thunderstorm at various places across the state. Heavy showers with thunder may occur at some places in the mountainous regions. It is also advised to be cautious due to rain on the Chardham Yatra route.

Sun and clouds kept playing hide and seek since morning on Wednesday in most areas including Doon. Bright sunshine also shone at some places in the afternoon, but clouds started hovering in the evening. Along with this, light showers occurred at some places in the mountainous regions. There are chances of snowfall on the peaks. Due to the change in the mood of the weather, there is temporary relief from the scorching heat in the state. The maximum temperature in the plains remains around normal. The minimum temperature is above normal. The mild breeze blowing from the mountains to the plains in the state is also providing relief from humidity. However, the weather is expected to remain harsh for the next few days.
