The Pushkar Dhami government of Uttarakhand has taken a big and important decision. Under this, now state personnel in Uttarakhand will also be able to participate in the branch and other cultural and social activities of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The Dhami government of the state has lifted the ban on participating in the activities of RSS. In July, the Home Ministry of the Government of India had issued an order lifting the ban on the participation of government employees in the programs of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. In the same sequence, now the Pushkar Dhami government of Uttarakhand has also removed the said ban for the personnel of the state. Now, the participation of state personnel in the morning or evening assembly, other cultural and social activities of RSS will not be considered a violation of the Uttarakhand State Employees Conduct Rules, 2002 (as amended from time to time).
It has been clarified in the order that participation in RSS shakha and other cultural-social activities can be done only when this work does not create any hindrance in discharging government responsibilities. Such participation can be done only before and after government office hours. The central government has lifted the ban on participation of government employees in RSS activities after 58 years.
