Former Uttarakhand CM’s first reaction on the new criminal law, said- the government is in a hurry…

Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and Congress leader Harish Rawat’s first reaction has come on the implementation of three new criminal laws in the country. Rawat said on the new law that we had also suggested that let the people understand this law but the government is in a hurry and they did not accept the opposition’s suggestion. It would have been better if the government had accepted the opposition’s suggestion. This would have helped these laws only. He said that there are many amendments in the new law which are creating problems. The intention may be good but it does not mean that the law you have brought is also good. If the problems of the public are increasing due to this, then it should be considered.

New criminal law has come into force from today

Let us tell you that the IPC CrPC and Evidence Act made during the British era have been changed. From today, whether it is murder or robbery, theft or assault, a case will be registered under the changed sections of the law in all incidents. Regarding this, in May, from Kotwal to Daroga, Munshi, everyone has been given training in this regard.

Changes in IPC, CrPC and Evidence Act

While earlier Section 302 was applicable for murder, now from July 1, the case will be registered under Section 103 (1).

Similarly, earlier a case was registered under Section 307 for attempt to murder, now from July 1, the case will be registered under Section 109.

Cases of robbery and dacoity which were earlier registered under Section 392, have now been changed to 309 (4).
