On Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the ancestral residence of Amar Shaheed Praveen Singh Gusain, village Pundoli (Hadiyana), Tehri Garhwal and met the families of the martyrs and consoled them. The Chief Minister met the martyr’s father Pratap Singh Gusain and mother Deepa Devi and expressed his condolences and assured all possible help. He said that brave soldier Praveen Singh has been martyred for the service of the country, his name will be written in golden letters on the pages of history. The state government stands with the bereaved family at this time of crisis. The Chief Minister received information from District Sainik Welfare and Rehabilitation Officer Tehri Garhwal regarding payment of service bills of martyr Praveen Singh. MLA Ghansali Shakti Lal Shah requested to upgrade the upper primary school Pundoli, beautify the sports ground and hospital and name it after the martyr.
On this occasion, Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal, former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, District Magistrate Dr. Saurabh Gaharwar, Chief Development Officer Manish Kumar, District Sainik Welfare and Rehabilitation Officer Tehri Garhwal Lek. GS Chand (AP), village head Kishan Vedpal along with other concerned officers and villagers were present.
It is to be known that on June 02, 2022, Praveen Singh, a brave soldier of 15th Garhwal Rifle, was martyred during the search operation being conducted to nab terrorists in Sendhau Bazar between Patiluhlan and Chhotipura in Shopia district of Jammu and Kashmir.
