CM Dhami strict on Haridwar Municipal Corporation land scam, four suspended including Assistant Municipal Commissioner in charge

On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the government has taken strict action against the personnel found guilty in the land purchase scam in Haridwar Municipal Corporation Sarai area. On the orders of Additional Secretary Urban Development Gaurav, four officers including Assistant Municipal Commissioner in charge Ravindra Kumar Dayal have been suspended with immediate effect on the charges of serious irregularities. The Chief Minister has handed over the investigation of this matter to Secretary Ranveer Singh Chauhan. After nominating the investigation officer, Municipal Corporation’s in-charge Executive Engineer Anand Singh Mishravan, Tax and Revenue Superintendent Laxmikant Bhatt and Junior Engineer Dinesh Chandra Kandpal have been suspended after being found prima facie guilty in this scam. A show cause notice has been issued to Senior Finance Officer Nikita Bisht in the matter. Bisht has been asked to respond within 15 days. The service extension of property clerk Vedwal has also been terminated. He was given service extension after retirement. The Municipal Commissioner has been directed to take disciplinary action against them under the provisions of Article 351 (A) of the Civil Services Regulation.

Assistant Municipal Commissioner in-charge Ravindra Kumar Dayal has been attached to Municipal Corporation Almora, Dinesh Chandra Kandpal to Municipal Council Lohaghat, Anand Singh Mishravan to Municipal Corporation Kotdwar, Laxmikant Bhatt to Municipal Corporation Pithoragarh offices.
