The weather in Uttarakhand has begun to change. Clouds have gathered in the mountainous regions, while the plains are experiencing partly cloudy skies.
The activation of a fresh western disturbance is expected to alter the weather in the state over the next few days. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain and snowfall are expected in seven districts, including Dehradun, today, leading to a drop in temperatures. Dehradun and surrounding areas remained sunny since morning, making the day feel warm. However, partial clouds began to appear in the afternoon. The mountainous regions continued to experience a playful balance of sunshine and clouds, with a possibility of rain at night. Maximum and minimum temperatures remained above normal in most areas of the state, leading to warmer days. The morning and evening temperatures are beginning to increase. According to the Meteorological Center, light rain is expected in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Dehradun, Tehri, Bageshwar, Rudraprayag, and Pithoragarh today. Snowfall is expected in areas above 4,000 meters. The remaining plains will remain dry. Rain is also expected on Wednesday and Thursday, which could cause temperatures to drop.
