CM Dhami is firm on tackling cheating; says, “I am ready to bend or even sacrifice everything for the youth”

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that he is ready to make any sacrifice to protect the interests of the youth. He said that the state has implemented the strictest anti-cheating law in the country to ensure transparent recruitment processes. As a result, more than 25,000 young people have secured government jobs and over 100 cheating mafia members have been sent to jail in the last four years. The Chief Minister made these remarks at an event held at the Fairfield by Marriott Hotel in Malasi. Dhami said that the recommendation for a CBI investigation into the recent cheating case was made at the request of the youth. He clarified that some people wanted to use the youth as a shield for political gain, but the government prioritized the sentiments of the youth. The Chief Minister informed that more than 4.2 million pilgrims have completed the Char Dham Yatra safely so far this year. Winter tourism is also being promoted in the state, which will boost the local economy. Work is underway to develop Uttarakhand as an adventure tourism hub, focusing on activities like trekking, river rafting, and paragliding. Dhami said that projects worth ₹1 lakh crore, from the agreements signed at the Global Investors Summit, have already been implemented. He also mentioned that local products have gained recognition through the ‘One District, One Product’ and ‘House of Himalayas’ initiatives. He stated that anti-conversion and anti-riot laws have been implemented in the state. Nine thousand acres of land have been freed from land grabbing, and action has been taken against illegal madrassas. Uttarakhand has become the first state to implement the Uniform Civil Code. The Chief Minister appealed to everyone to adopt the mantra of “Embrace the indigenous, strengthen the nation.”
