Effigy of the Commission burnt in paper leak protest
Haridwar: Young people in North Haridwar burnt an effigy of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) in protest against the paper leak in the state’s graduate-level exam. Social activist Ritesh Gaur said that the exam paper had indeed been leaked, but the Commission was unwilling to acknowledge it. Kapil Sharma Jaunsari said that despite the anti-cheating law in Uttarakhand, cheating continues. He added that the government is also shirking its responsibility. He said that there is widespread anger among the youth over this issue. He stated that the cheating mafia and the school involved in the paper leak are all connected to the same group. He demanded that the Commission take responsibility, as it is unable to conduct a fair and transparent examination. He suggested that the responsibility for conducting the exam should be given to the State Public Service Commission. Former councilor Kailash Bhatt demanded that the government conduct the exam again. He said that despite all the security measures, the exam papers were leaked right under the Commission’s nose. This is a clear case of negligence on the part of the Commission. Ajay Giri, Aman Garg, Sachin Thakur, Vishal Bharti, Arjun, Gaurav and others were present on the occasion.
