Rain is still continuing in the state. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Dehradun, Bageshwar, Champawat and Nainital districts on Monday. There is a possibility of heavy rain and lightning along with thunder in these districts and heavy to very heavy spells of rain. Apart from this, a yellow alert has been issued for Udham Singh Nagar, Pauri, Pithoragarh and Chamoli districts. There is a possibility of lightning along with thunder and heavy to very heavy spells of rain in these districts. At the same time, there is a possibility of lightning along with thunder and heavy to very heavy spells of rain in the remaining districts of the state.
It rained overnight in many districts including Dehradun late on Saturday night. The sky remained cloudy since Sunday morning, and there was drizzle at some places. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rain in the coming days.
