Center released 455 crores in SDRF to Uttarakhand, CM said – the amount will be spent in disaster relief work

The central government has given a big relief to Uttarakhand, which is facing disaster. In this episode, an amount of Rs 455.60 crore has been released in advance to the state as a central share in SDRF (State Disaster Response Fund) for the current financial year. With this, there will be no shortage of funds in disaster relief work.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for this. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took stock of the disaster situation in the state at Dehradun Airport on Thursday. Along with this, other announcements were made including giving immediate assistance of Rs 1200 crore for the state. A day after this, as per the recommendation of the 15th Finance Commission, Uttarakhand has received an amount of Rs 455.60 crore in advance from the Central Government as the central share of SDRF.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this amount will be spent in disaster relief work in Uttarakhand. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided support to Uttarakhand in every difficult time. For this, the people of Uttarakhand are especially grateful to Prime Minister Modi.
