Congress will raise the issue of firing and rigging in Panchayat elections in the House today, Legislature Party meeting held

On the first day of the monsoon session of the Vidhan Sabha, Congress will bring a motion of adjournment under Rule-300. In the adjournment, Congress will raise the issue of rigging in the three-tier Panchayat elections. On Monday, a meeting of the Congress Legislature Party was held under the chairmanship of Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya. All Congress MLAs participated in the meeting.
It was decided that on Tuesday, on the first day of the monsoon session, Congress will raise the issue of rigging in the three-tier Panchayat elections under adjournment in the House. Congress will stop the work of the Assembly and bring a proposal to discuss it.
It was decided in the meeting that the government will be cornered in the House regarding the firing in Betalghat of Nainital in the district Panchayat elections, kidnapping of members, Panchayat reservation and misuse of government machinery in the entire election. Deputy Leader of Opposition Bhuwan Kapri, Congress State President Karan Mahara, MLAs Pritam Singh, Qazi Nizamuddin, Harish Dhami, Mamta Rakesh, Vikram Singh Negi, Anupama Rawat, Gopal Singh Rana and other party MLAs were present in the meeting.
