Dense clouds have camped in Uttarakhand and there are chances of heavy rain. However, most areas including Dehradun remained cloudy throughout the day and showers started at night. Showers are reported at some places in the mountainous areas. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in many areas of the state on Sunday. A warning has been issued for extremely heavy rains at some places in six districts including Dehradun-Nainital.
Temperature decreased by two to three degrees Celsius
On Sunday, clouds camped in Dehradun and surrounding areas since morning. There were chances of rain throughout the day. However, most areas remained dry till late evening. In the evening, there were light showers in the Sahasradhara Road area, while light showers started in the city at around 8:30 pm. Which continued till late night. This brought relief from the humid heat, but rain on Sunday can become a disaster. Due to change in weather, a decrease of two to three degrees Celsius in temperature has been recorded.
