Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has attacked corruption by giving free hand to Vigilance to take action. In four years, Vigilance arrested 94 in 82 cases of corruption. On the basis of strong evidence of corruption, Vigilance has been successful in getting the accused punished by the court in 71 percent of the cases. The effect of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s strict stand on zero tolerance against corruption is visible in the action of Vigilance. In the last four years, arrests of accused in corruption cases have increased. Vigilance took action in a total of 82 cases and arrested 94. This includes 13 gazetted officers.

We want to make Devbhoomi Uttarakhand corruption free and develop a work culture of good governance. From the day I took charge as the Chief Servant, I instructed the Vigilance to launch a campaign against corruption. Its effect is now visible. Strong advocacy is also being done to get the corrupt punished by the court.
