The state government has become alert in view of the increasing cases of corona across the country. The health department has been alerted. The Secretary Health has given instructions to strengthen the monitoring and investigation system of possible cases of corona in all the districts. Also, it has been asked to ensure the availability of rapid test kits and RTPCR kits in all the testing centers. All health workers will be retrained for corona management and response. He has given instructions to run a comprehensive public awareness campaign in all the districts to give information about the behavior to be adopted to prevent corona. On Monday, Secretary Health Dr. R Rajesh Kumar held a review meeting with the senior officials of the department regarding corona management. He instructed the officials to be fully prepared to deal with any kind of emergency and not to be negligent at any level. He said that the situation in the state is under control right now but one should be prepared for any challenge. There is a need to be cautious, not to panic. The department’s effort is to ensure the availability of all necessary resources related to the prevention of corona in all hospitals, health centers and medical colleges. The department’s rapid response teams are trained and ready if needed. He has appealed to the public to stay away from any kind of rumors and follow the guidelines of the health department.
