The government has become serious about strengthening the traffic system of the city and getting rid of the problem of jam to the citizens. In this episode, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed strong displeasure over the delay in the construction of Rispana and Bindal Corridor in the review meeting of Dehradun Elevated Corridor on Monday. Also instructed the officials to start this work soon. He said that a request should also be made to the Central Government to connect the Dehradun Elevated Corridor with the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. Also, in view of the increasing population and number of vehicles, directed to work on a well-planned plan for other cities. The Chief Minister also expressed displeasure over the delay in the work of Haripur Ghat under construction on the Yamuna river in Kalsi and directed the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority to complete this work in six months.
Meeting regarding Dehradun Elevated Corridor
On Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting in the Secretariat regarding the Dehradun Elevated Corridor. He said that after the construction of Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, the number of vehicles and tourists in Dehradun will increase. The number of vehicles is already increasing here. In such a situation, the work of Dehradun Elevated Corridor should be started soon. In this, an 11 km long four-lane elevated corridor is to be constructed on the Rispana River and a 15 km long four-lane elevated corridor on the Bindal River in the Rispana Corridor. For this, the electric line and sewer line from these rivers have to be brought out of the river. Along with the elevated road, construction of retaining wall and flood protection work is also to be done on both sides of the river. The Chief Minister instructed the officials that the results of whatever development work is being done in the state should be visible on the ground. Special attention should be paid to the quality and timeliness of the work. He also asked to start preparations for Nanda Devi Raj Jat from now.
Preparations should be reviewed regularly
The Chief Minister directed Chief Secretary Radha Raturi to regularly review the works of Dehradun Elevated Road, connectivity of Garhwal and Kumaon, Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission and Nanda Devi Raj Jat. He himself will also review it from time to time. Vice President of State Infrastructure Monitoring Council Vishwas Dabur, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Principal Chief Forest Conservator Dhananjay Mohan, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Nitesh Jha, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Dr. R Rajesh Kumar, Ranveer Singh Chauhan, District Magistrate Dehradun Savin Bansal, Vice President MDDA Banshidhar Tiwari, SSP Dehradun Ajay Singh, Municipal Commissioner Namami Bansal and related officers were present in the meeting.
