Uttarakhand Assembly’s monsoon session date announced, this time to be held in summer capital Gairsain

The government has decided the venue and date for the monsoon session of the assembly. The monsoon session will be held from August 21 in the Vidhan Sabha Bhawan located in Bhararisain, summer capital Gairsain. The provisional proposed program has also been set for the session to run till August 23. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Premchand Agarwal shared this information. The budget session was held in March last year in summer capital Gairsain. After this, no session could be convened there. This year the budget session was proposed in Gairsain itself, but later it was held in Dehradun itself. This session ended on February 29.

Second session to be held within six months
In such a situation, as per the rules, it is necessary to hold the second session within six months. That is, the session has to be held before August 29. Exercise was going on in this regard and the government had clarified that the monsoon session will be held in Gairsain only. There was also a discussion about the assembly session in the cabinet meeting held on July 18. Then Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was authorized to decide the place and date for the session. On Friday, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Premchand Aggarwal said that after the approval of the Chief Minister, the place and duration of the session has been decided. He said that the session will be held in Gairsain, for which the period from 21 to 23 August has been fixed. After the place and date for the monsoon session of the Assembly was fixed, Principal Secretary Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Dhananjay Chaturvedi has sent information in this regard to the Assembly Secretariat. Along with this, the date-wise proposed provisional program for the session has also been sent. According to this, various ordinances will be tabled in the House on August 21. Also, formal and legislative work will be done on this day. Legislative work will be done on August 22. The last day, August 23, has been fixed for legislative and effective work.
