CM gives permission to anti-copying ordinance, 10 crore fine will have to be given along with life imprisonment

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved the Uttarakhand Competitive Examination (Measures for Prevention and Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Ordinance 2023 to ensure transparency and fairness in recruitment examinations.
In this ordinance, a provision has been made for life imprisonment and a fine of up to Rs 10 crore in cases of organized copying and indulging in unfair means.

Arrangement for confiscation of the property of the accused:
Along with this, arrangements have been made to confiscate the property of the accused. The offense under this will be cognizable, non-bailable and non-compoundable. This ordinance has been sent to Raj Bhavan for further action.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has appealed to the youth protesting in Dehradun not to be misled by anyone. Throughout the day, the Chief Minister kept taking updates of the activities from the top officials of the government and the police.
In this sequence, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved the anti-copying ordinance on Thursday. Many strict provisions have been made in this ordinance. Under this, if a candidate is found to be indulging in unfair means while copying or getting himself copied in the recruitment examination, then in such cases a provision has been made for imprisonment of three years and a minimum fine of five lakhs.

Minimum fine of Rs 10 lakh:
For the second time also, if the same candidate is found guilty again in another competitive examination, he will be punished with a minimum sentence of 10 years and a minimum fine of Rs 10 lakh. If any person, printing press, service provider organization, management system, coaching institute etc. are found involved in unfair means in the recruitment examination, they will be punished with life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10 crore.
If the candidate is found copying, he will be suspended for two to five years from the date of filing of the charge sheet. If found guilty, he will be suspended from appearing in all examinations for 10 years. If found copying again, will be suspended for five to 10 years from the filing of the charge sheet. If proven guilty, he will not be allowed to appear in all competitive examinations for life.
The government is taking a tough stand on recruitment scams. All the cases that have come up have been investigated, the culprits have been sent to jail. No injustice will be allowed to happen to the youth. The government has decided to introduce the country’s strictest anti-cheating law for recruitment examinations. The government will not allow the copying mafia to play with the future of the youth of the state.
