On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, District Magistrate Champawat has appointed SDM Party as the Inquiry Officer for magisterial inquiry into the incident of collapse of toilet roof of Government Primary School, Maunkanda. In his order, the District Magistrate has directed the SDM to complete the investigation of the causes of this accident immediately and provide the investigation report within 15 days. District Magistrate Champawat has told that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh will be given to the kin of the deceased student from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and arrangements have been made to provide free treatment to the injured students.
