Will all medal winners get out of turn jobs? Uttarakhand government’s big decision

All the players representing the state in the National Games held in Uttarakhand will not be able to get out of turn jobs. Unless the government makes a separate arrangement for this. The reason is that in the government order issued for out of turn appointment, it is clear that only the original or permanent residents of Uttarakhand will be given out of turn jobs on winning medals in national and international competitions. However, all the players representing Uttarakhand will definitely be given the declared prize money. For this, the Sports Department has demanded a budget of 16 crores from the government. Uttarakhand had performed brilliantly in the 38th National Games held in February.

Uttarakhand remained at seventh place

Uttarakhand won a total of 103 medals including 24 gold medals in 22 events in these games and remained at seventh place in the table. This is Uttarakhand’s best performance in the National Games so far. Before the National Games, the state government had announced to give double the cash prize than the prescribed amount to all the medal winning players. Along with this, it was also said that out of turn jobs would be given. 196 players won medals in the games including team and individual events. Among these players, there are many who are from other states but they won medals while representing Uttarakhand in the games. In such a situation, it was believed that as per the government’s announcement, everyone will be given jobs and cash prizes. In this regard, when the Sports Department studied the government orders, it found that out of turn jobs can be given only to the original or permanent residents of the state. In such a situation, further efforts are now being made in this direction. 300 additional posts demanded for three departments As per the government order, arrangements have been made to give out of turn jobs in seven departments. However, in the proposal given by the Sports Department to the government, it has requested to create 300 additional posts only in the Police, Sports and Youth Welfare Department. The reason is that the players who have got out of turn jobs in other departments in the past are not getting a chance to play there. The departments are taking work from them that is not in accordance with their posts. This matter has also reached the Sports Department. In view of this, a proposal has been sent to create posts in these three departments only for the better future of the players.
