Uttarakhand has also become alert following the guidelines of the Central Government on the increase in cases of micro plasma pneumonia and influenza flu among children in China. Special monitoring will be done for symptoms of pneumonia and influenza flu in children.
Secretary Health Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar said that due to increase in cases of pneumonia and influenza flu among children in China, the Health Ministry has given guidelines to increase surveillance in the state. He said that there is no such case in the state yet, but as a precaution, all the districts will also be instructed to keep special vigil in the hospitals.
Cases of respiratory illness and pneumonia are increasing among young children in China. The World Health Organization has also issued an alert to all countries on this. The Health Ministry has also given guidelines to all the states to increase surveillance.
