In order to recover from the damage caused by disasters like landslides, landslides and floods due to excessive rainfall in monsoon, the state government is now going to knock on the Center for help of Rs 1100 crore. The proposal related to this will be finalized after meeting with various departments. It is possible that it may be sent to the Central Government by the end of this month. Accordingly, the government has started preparations. Monsoon, which is moving towards departure, has given deep wounds to Uttarakhand since June 15 this year. During this period, disasters in various districts took the lives of 96 people, while 48 were injured. 16 persons are still missing. 2509 houses have been hit by the disaster. Along with this, there has been huge damage to private and public property. According to the assessment being done by the government, the damage caused to various departments has reached Rs 1400 crore. In this, a provision of Rs 300 crore for damaged roads and other schemes will be made from the State Disaster Response Fund, but it will be very difficult to raise the remaining amount. In view of this, the state government has decided to request help from the central government. Now a proposal related to this is being sent to the Central Government, for which the exercise has been intensified. According to Secretary Disaster Management Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha, a meeting will be held with all the departments in view of the assessment of damage done so far. In this the proposal to be sent to the Center will be finalized. This proposal could be worth Rs 1100 crore or more. Once it is finalized it will be sent to the Centre. He expressed hope that the state will get help from the Centre.
