The three-tier Panchayat elections of the state have become primary school of politics for the youth. This time these youth are eager to change the tradition of seeing elders in the posts of Pradhan, Kshetra Panchayat, Zila Panchayat member. Everyone has dreams of bringing development in the village and region with new thinking.

From student politics to Panchayat

Former student union president of DAV College Siddharth Rana is in the fray for the post of Zila Panchayat member from Zila Panchayat Raundeli. Siddharth says that after learning the political nuances in the city, he has come among his people to work in the village and region. Similarly, former student union president Premchand Nautiyal is a contender as BDS from Zila Panchayat Mashak. He is talking about the blessings of the elders and developing the region together with the youth. Shyam Singh Chauhan, who contested the student union president post from DAV College on NSUI ticket, is in the fray for the post of member from Zila Panchayat Raigi. His dream is to take the development of the region to a new height. Former student union president Pramesh Rawat is also in the fray as a BDC candidate from area Panchayat 10 Puanal. DAV’s senior student leader Ankita Pal is in the fray for the post of village head from village assembly Kholia village (Askot). Senior student leader Nityanand Kothiyal is trying his luck as a BDC candidate from Budhwan. All of them have the same feeling that first of all they want to serve their area in this election.

If we get a chance, we will hit a four of development
The purpose of the young candidates to contest the election is not only to become a leader but to establish a different dimension of development in their area. They say that definitely many new works can be done in the area. They want to build hospitals, marriage halls, crematoriums, pension for the elderly and disabled, playgrounds, parks, colleges in their area. The elderly do not need to contest elections now, we will represent them and take care of them. We will take government schemes to every village.
