Notional salary hike for personnel retiring on 30 June and 31 December

Under the important decision of the Cabinet, a notional salary hike will be given to the personnel retiring on 30 June and 31 December for calculating their pension. This will enable them to get full pension as per the post. Various employee organizations of the state were demanding this for a long time. The date of annual increment for government employees in the state has been fixed as 1st January and 31st July. They are given increased salary from this date. At the same time, there are many employees in the state who retire on 30th June and 31st June every year after completing the age of superannuation. Among them, there are many government servants who retire on this date at the same salary level. They do not get the next increment because government servants get annual increment after one year of satisfactory service. Keeping in view the interests of these employees, the state government has decided to give notional increment for pension calculation to the employees retiring on 30th June and 31st December. However, it has been clarified that the notional increment will not be calculated for other benefits received after retirement.
