Uttarakhand became an example for other states…

Uttarakhand ranks first in the country in preventing fraud under Ayushman Yojana and making claims payments to hospitals. Uttarakhand has become an example for other states in better planning. The National Health Authority (NHA) made a special presentation of Uttarakhand on 25 September on the strategy of fraud prevention and claim payment which will be shared with other states.

The Ayushman scheme is completing two years on 23 September. In the scheme, action has been taken against private hospitals who have committed fraud in the treatment of Golden Card holder patients. Recovery has taken place with the filing of cases against the fraudulent hospitals.
At the same time, claims are being paid to private hospitals in less than seven days. The NHA has declared Uttarakhand the first state in the country to stop fraud and pay claims. At the same time, Uttarakhand is also the first state in the country to provide treatment of up to five lakhs under Ayushman Yojana to all 23 lakh families of the state.
Golden cards made for 39 lakh beneficiaries:
Under the Ayushman Yojana, golden cards of 39 lakh beneficiaries have been made in the state so far. The card of 99 percent of the beneficiaries is linked to the Aadhaar card. In two years, the government has spent an amount of 192 crores on treatment of more than 2.6 lakh patients of the state.

Maximum 1.10 lakh patients of dialysis have received plan benefits. Apart from this, other serious diseases including surgery, cancer, heart disease, orthopedics have also been treated in the scheme.

The Ayushman Yojana is being better operated in the state. Efforts are being made to rectify the shortcomings. It is our endeavor that the eligible beneficiaries get better treatment facilities under the scheme. For this, timely payment of claims to the hospitals and intensive monitoring of fraud cases are being done.
