The pre-monsoon rain continues in Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Center has issued a special warning of heavy to very heavy rain in most parts of the state from Thursday to June 29. The second round of heavy rain is also likely to come on July 2 and 3. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain during this period. On Wednesday, there was intermittent rain throughout the day in the hilly districts including Dehradun. Due to which a decrease in temperature was recorded. The rainy season is expected to continue in the same way on Thursday as well. Monsoon can knock in Uttarakhand anytime from next Friday to Sunday evening.
Decline in temperature by four to six degrees Celsius
Due to light to moderate rain in some areas of Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi and Tehri including Dehradun, a decrease of four to six degrees Celsius has been recorded in the temperature. Asharodi of Dehradun recorded 16.9 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the maximum rainfall of 65 mm was recorded in Narendranagar of Tehri, 46.2 mm in Jolly Grant, 22 mm in Rishikesh, 21.2 mm in Nainital. Director of Meteorological Center Bikram Singh said that heavy rainfall alert has been issued in almost all the districts. After this, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall has also been issued on July 2 and 3. Monsoon may knock in Uttarakhand within two to three days.
